Miss Bethea, 57, of Latta

Latta--(Special)--Miss Sadie Bethea, 57, died in a Columbia hospital Tuesday.

She was a daughter of the late Edward and Rachel Smith Bethea.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11am Thursday from Bethea Funeral Home. Interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery.

Miss Bethea attended both Lander and Flora McDonald colleges and taught for many years in the public schools of South Carolina. She was a member of the Latta Methodist Church.

Survivors include three brothers, M Carlisle Bethea of Marion, E C Bethea of Miami, Fla., and George Russell Bethea of Spartanburg and one niece and four nephews.
