Mrs Mary E Curtis

Dillon, Jan 2--Special--Mrs Mary E Curtis, 73, lifelong resident of the Pleasant Hill section of Dillon County, died today in the Thompson Memorial Hospital, Lumberton, NC. She had been in declining health for the past three years and suffered a heart attack several days ago.

Mrs Curtis, the widow of Harrison Curtis, was a member of the Piney Grove Baptist Church of Dillon County.

She is survived by two sons, Livingston Curtis of Dillon and Dr Rufus H Curtis of Rowland, NC; one daughter, Mrs Frank F Welbourne of Columbia; and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 Tuesday afternoon from the Bethea Funeral Home by the Rev W O Blackmon and the Rev John Marvin Rast. Interment will follow in the family cemetery.
