Mrs Powers, 83, of Latta

Latta--Mrs Lula Powers, 83, died in a Columbia hospital Friday afternoon.

She was the daughter of the late Noah and Nancy Bartley Sweat and the widow of Isham Powers.

Survivors include three sons, Coy Powers of Latta, Wiley Powers of Sellers, and Perry Powers of Fayetteville, NC.; six daughters, Mrs Buster Caulder of Latta, Mrs Prentis Campbell of Sellers, Mrs J H Daniels of Draper, NC., Mrs H D Cox of Wilmington, Mrs Kethion Owens of Conway and Mrs Lacy Caulder of Sellers, and 58 grandchildren and 26 great-granchildren
