Funeral Services Held Monday For S Smith
Funeral services for Sandy Smith, 73, who died at his home early Sunday after
a long illness, were held from the Church of God Monday afternoon at 3pm with
the Rev Harold Douglas officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery,.
Surviving are his wife, the former Belle Cook; five sons, Sandy Jr.,
Herbert, Leroy, John David and Lamar; and seven daughters, Mrs Leach Guinn
of Fayetteville, Mrs Pearlie Cantrell of Gastonia, NC., Mrs Mary Cadell,
Mrs Elsie Cook, and Mrs Ruby Hulon of Dillon; Mrs Estelle Williams of York,
and Mrs Virginia Morgan of Portsmouth.
(NOTE...he has a stone with the rest of his family....so he must have been moved
when they got the family plot at Riverside....cgk)
