CPL. WIGGINS Rites set Friday
MULLINS, June 10, 1953 --(Special)--
Military funeral services for Corporal Don Mark Wiggins, who was killed in action
April 8, in Korea, will be conducted Friday afternoon from Fork Methodist Church by
the Rev. Claude R. harper, Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Dillon County.
The body will be taken to the home of his parents, Mr. And Mrs. J. F. Wiggins, Route 2, Dillon Thursday afternoon, and will be at the church from 2:30 Friday afternoon until the hour of service.
Members of the Mullins National Guard Unit will perform the military honors.
Corporal Wiggins, 24, was graduated from Lake View High School in 1945.
He entered service January 16, 1952, and was stationed at Indiantown Gap, New York and
at Fort Benning, Georgia, before being sent to Korea. He was member of the 2nd Infantry
Divison of the 23rd Regiment.
Besides his parents he is survived by his widow, the former Miss Dula Mae Fowler;
five brothers, C. C. and Myrtle J. of Dillon, J. F. of Sellers, Sgt. Ralph L. of Shaw Field and
L. Wiggins of Mullins, and four sisters, Mrs. Bessie harrelson and Miss Faye Wiggins of Mullins,
Mrs. Major Daniels of Latta and Mrs. Frank Collins of Conway.
