John Ward, 72, Died Wednesday
John Ward, 72, died Wednesday at his home following a lingering illness.
He was the son of the late George and Mandy Gaddy Ward of Dillon County.
Funeral services were held Friday at 3:00 o'clock at Dillon Second
Baptist Church with Rev. Enoch Caulder and the Rev. Jack Hayes officiating. Burial
was in Riverside Cemetery.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ollie Byrd Ward, Dillon; four sons,
Fred and Leslie Ward of Charlotte, Duncan Ward of Nichols, and General Ward of
Dillon, also by one brother, Shafford Ward, and several grandchildren.
