D C Snipes

Dillon---D C Snipes, 74, died Tuesday in a Marion hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Robeson County, NC., a son of the late John and Lena Grimsley Snipes. Mr Snipes was a retired farmer.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs Mary Ann Herring Snipes of Dillon; three daughters, Mrs Gladys F Tittman (should be Pittman) of Dillon, Mrs Ida Kate Moody of Fork, and Mrs Sue G Church of Columbia; three sons, J T., James Horace, and Charles Snipes of Dillon; a brother, Crayton Snipes of Lumberton, NC.; sixteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services will be 4pm today in the Mt Calvary Baptist Church.

Cooper Funeral Home is in charge.
