Dillon Man Wreck Victim
Dillon--A 44-year-old Dillon County man was killed in a single-car accident
about 5pm Wednesday.
Dillon County Coroner R J Rogers said William Hubbard Watson, Jr. was killed
when he apparently lost control of his car on secondary road 17-45, some three miles
north of Floydale.
Rogers said the vehicle left the road and hit a tree during rainy, foggy weather.
He said the wreck apparently was accidental and plans no inquest.
Born in Dillon County, Mr Watson was a son of William H and Mamie Bryant
Watson, Sr. He was a retired merchant.
Services will be 3pm today at Cooper Funeral Home, with burial in Pyerian
Baptist Church Cemetery.
