James Cook

Dillon---Funeral services for James Edwin Cook, 86, will be held at 2pm Friday in the Dillon Church of God with burial in Greenlawn Cemetery. Visitation is 7-9 pm tonight in Cooper Funeral Home of Dillon.

Mr Cook died Wednesday, December 11, 1996, at his residence after an illness. He was born Jan 10 1910 in Dillon Cty, son of the late Henry Cook and Ida Parker. He was a retired carpenter and was a member of the Dillon Church of God.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Cook of Dillon; daughters, Naomi Timmons of Columbia and Dorothy Ruiz of Columbia; sons, James L Cook of Columbia, and Major L Cook of Columbia; brother, Carlisle Cook of Columbia; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
