James Cook
LEXINGTON -- Services for James L. (Buddy) Cook, 56, will be held at 4 p.m. Friday,
November 19, 1999 at Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes, Lexington Chapel with burial
in Southland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight
at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Cook died Wednesday, November 17, 1999. Born in Dillon County, he was a son of Martha Brown Cook and the late James E. Cook. Surviving are his mother of Dillon; his wife, Mary Miller Cook of Lexington; son, James A. Cook of Marion; step-children, George Lee Jr., William P. Crummie, Wendell A. Sharpe, Marty Lynn Sharpe and Janie L. Ramsey all of Lexington; grandchildren, Dakota, Shari, Sheila, Tosha, Jason, Stephanie, Ashley, Timothy, Jonathan and Tia; great-grandchildren, Melanie and Mark; brother, Major Cook of Pontiac; sister, Naomi Timmons of Pontiac. Mr. Cook was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Cook and a sister, Dorothy Ruiz.
