Carol Ervin

EASLEY-- Services for Carol Stackhouse Ervin, 88, of Countryside Health Care, will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice. The Mackey Mortuary, Century Dr. is in charge.

Mrs. Ervin, wife of the late Laurie Nelson Ervin, died Tuesday, July 27, 1999. Born in Dillon, she was a graduate of Winthrop College and received her master's degree from the University of South Carolina. She was a retired schoolteacher and principal in the elementary schools in Marion County. She was a member of Main Street United Methodist Church in Dillon.

Surviving are her sons, Dr. Laurie Nelson Ervin of Greenville, Maj. Gen. Marvin S. Ervin, U.S. Air Force, Ret., of Summerville; brother, the Rev.William C. Stackhouse of Pawleys Island; grandchildren, Melesa E. Watts of Charlotte, Laurie N. Ervin III of Mt. Pleasant, Mimi Chester of Summerville, Marc Ervin, U.S.A.F., of San Antonio; three great-grandchildren
