Harold Gene Jackson
DILLON --
Harold Gene Jackson, 58, died Friday in McLeod Regional Medical Center,
Florence.
Services were held Sunday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in
Riverside Cemetery.
Born in Dillon County, Oct. 3, 1935, he was a son of the late Shell
Jackson and Lila Dillon Jackson. He was a member of Dillon First Baptist Church,
Mackey Lodge 33 AFM, a charter member of the Dillon Jaycees, founder of the Dillon
Ambulance Service, and a former owner of the Colonial Funeral Home.
Survivors include his daugters: Valerie Jackson Webster, Timmonsville,
and Celeste Jackson Campbell, Dillon; sisters, Clara Amanda Hardwick, Floyd Dale, and
Loretta Jackson, Marshville, N.C.; brothers Hoyt Jackson and Horace Jackson, both of
Dillon, and Bishop Jackson, Monroe, N.C.; seven grandchildren.
