Betty Powers

Floydale--Services for Betty Jean Herring Powers will be held Tuesday at 4pm at Floydale Mission Church with burial in Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home.

Mrs. Powers, 65, died Sunday at her residence after an illness. Born in Horry County, March 13, 1934, she was the daughter of Victor Herring and the late Janie Watts Herring. She was a member of Floydale Mission Church and was a textile worker.

Survivors include her father of Dillon; daughters, Joanna Hyatt and Joyce Marie Kelly, both of Virginia, and Linda Jane Hyatt of Dillon; sons, Lloyd Junior Powers, Danny Powers and James Earl Powers, all of Dillon; brother, Andrew Herring of Dillon; sister, Mary Beth Powers of Dillon; 17 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren.
