Services for Fannie Sue Bethea Ward were held Saturday, May 19 in Rowland United
Methodist Church with burial in the Rowland Cemetery directed by Cooper Funeral Home
in Dillon, S C.
Mrs Ward, 96, died Thursday, May 17, 2001 in the Wesley Pines Retirement Community Center.
Born in Dillon County, SC., December 21, 1904, she was the daughter of the late
Tristram Walker Bethea and Martha McRae Bethea. She was a member of Rowland United Methodist Church where she was a choir member and official board member, member of the Town and Country Garden Club, and a member of the Robeson County Historical Society, and she was a homemaker and kindergarten teacher. She was the widow of the late Homer Benjamin Ward.
Survivors include her sister, Christine Curtis of Dillon; nephews and nieces.
