This and other illustrations were commissioned by Mrs. Laura Lewis in the mid 1960's and were created for her by Maryland artist John Moll, who she knew from her native Maryland. Although she spent most of her life here after marrying my grandfather, she still kept up her connections with her native St. Michaels, MD.
