MCKAY
Daniel McKay, the grandfather of Captain D. J. McKay, came to this county direct from Scotland,
at what time is not known; he had and raised two sons, John and Archie. John married Katie Alford
a daughter of Major Sion Alford, of North Carolina. Archie married a daughter of John Drake
of Robeson County.
