John & Alex Chisholm to Lewis Nicholls:

Know all men by these presents that We John Chisholm and Alexander Chisholm both of the County of Rankin and State of Mississippi have made ordained constituted and appointed and by these presents do make ordain constitute and appoint Lewis Nichols of Simpson County and State aforesaid our true and lawful Attorney for us and in our names and for our use to sell, and convey certain tracts or parcels of land belonging to us in the States of North and South Carolina and make good and lawful titles to the same as we could do were we personally present and to collect and receive from our former guardian or any other person or persons all money or property he or they may have belonging to us and to give full receipts for the same hereby giving and granting unto our said attorney full authority in the premises and an attorney or attorneys under him to employ for the prosecution of the same hereby ratifying and confirming whatever our said attorney his substitute or substitutes may lawfully do in the premises. In witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals this first day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight.

said county do certify that John Chisholm and Alexander Chisholm came before
