Uriah Flowers} This indenture made this sixth day of October in the year of our
Lord one thousand and eight hundred and seven and in the thirty-first year of
the Independence of the United States of America between Saml S Savage Sheriff
of # District in the state aforesaid of the one part and Uriah Flowers of the
other part. Whereas Joshua See became lawfully seized in his demesne as fee
and possessed of and in a certain tract or parcel of land containing two hundred
acres more or less, beginning at pine corner running on McNeills land then on
Baxters land then on Malcolm McIntiry land comes running on the same to Cow Branch
thence down said branch to Camp branch to mark line between Joshua See and Stephen
See to the back line thence on said line to Daniel McColly land thence to Neill
Carmichaely land hence to the beginning corner. And whereas the said Joshua See
became indebted unto the Admr & Admx of John Chisholm which remained unpaid.
For recovery whereof the said Admr and Admx aforesaid in the Court of Common
Pleas before the Associate Judge of the said Courts did obtain judgments against
the said Joshua See for twenty-five Dollars being the condition of the above debts
together with the interest that had accrued thereon and also for twenty dollars
for their damage and costs in prosecuting their suit in pursuance of which
judgment there issued out of the aforesaid Court. A writ of Fieri Facia directed
to all and singular the Sheriff of said State commanding them and every of them
withour delay that of the Goods and Chattles, Houses, lands and other
hereditrements and real estate of the said Joshua See they should be bonded
this sum of twenty-five dollars as also the sum of twenty dollars on the damage
which they had sustained by reason of the detention of the said Debts. By virtue
of and in obedience to the said writ of Fieri Facia. He the said Saml S Savage
Sheriff of aforesaid did enter into and take into execution the tract of land
before mentioned and after seizure thereof and the same being duly advertized
at Marion Court House and elsewhere for publick sale by the said Saml S Savage
Sheriff of aforesaid did on this day of the date of these presents for and in
satisfaction of the aforesaid Judgments and Writ of Fiere Facias and the
incidental costs and charges due thereon sell and dispose of the above described
land to Uriah Flowers for the sum of thirty dollars He at that price being the
highest and last bidder for the same. Now the indenture witnesseth that the
said Saml S Savage Sheriff aforesaid for and in consideration of the sum of
thirty dollars to him in hand paid by Uriah Flowers at or before the sealing
and delivery hereof the receipts whereof is hereby acknowledged and Granted
bargained and sold by these presents doth bargain Sell & Grant unto the said
Uriah Flowers all of the tract of land above mentioned, to have and to hold
the said land together with the buildings hereditrements rights members &
appurtenances thereunto respectively belonging or in any wise appertaining with
the Rents Houses and profits thereof unto the said Uriah Flowers # Heirs and
Assigns forever. In witness whereof I the said Saml S Savage Sheriff of Marion
District aforesaid hath set his hand & seal this day and year above written

Marion District} Personally appeared before Robert Moody who being duly
sworn by me sayeth that he saw Saml S Savage Sheriff of Marion District sign
seal and Deliver the instruments of writing to Uriah Flowers for the use and
purpose within mentioned and that he subscribed the name of Robert Moody with
the name of Thomas Harllee as witness to the same.
