Volume: 92, Number: 51, Page: 7, Column: 2Mrs. William S. Foxworth
The whole of Marion has been saddened by the death of Mrs. W.S. Foxworth, which occured at her home on South Main Street early Wednesday morning, December 12th. Mrs. Foxworth, a semi-invalid for many years, had been ill for several months, having only recently returned to her home from Asheville, N.C., where she had spent some time under the care of physicians. Though her health had been most precarious her death came as a decided shock to the community.
Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. L.L. Bedenbaugh and interment made immediately afterwards at Rose Hill cemetery, where just three weeks ago her little granddaughter, Betty Thompson, the victim of an automobile accident, was laid to rest.
Surviving Mrs. Foxworth are her husband, W.S. Foxworth; one son, Howard Foxworth of Sarasota, Fla.; three daughters, Mrs. William Martin of Marion, Mrs J.M. Thompson of Rockingham, N.C., and Mrs. Virginia Foxworth Winders of Marion. Several grandchildren and a large family connection also survive.
The State.
