Herring rites

Marion---Services for Mrs Mamie Turner Smithey Herring will be held at 2pm today at Smith-Collins Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fork Baptist Church Cemetery in Fork.

Mrs Herring, 72, died Wednedsay.

Born in Dillon County, she was a daughter of the late Roland and Julia Coller Turner. She was a member of Fork Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Woodrow Smithey of Marion and Johnny Bob Smithey, Jr of Boonton, NJ; a daughter, Mrs Louise Hinte of Norfolk, Va; a brother, Harvey Turner of Dillon; and grandchildren.
