Lonnie V Hooks

Nichols---Lonnie Vander Hooks, 69, died Saturday in Mullins Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Horry County, he was a son of the late Vander Lee and Fannie James Hooks. He was a retired farmer.

Services will be today at 4:30 pm in Meares Funeral Home in Fair Bluff, NC., with burial in Riverside Cemetery in Nichols.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs Lula Mae Fowler Hooks; four sons, Carl Lester and Ollins Vander Hooks of Cayce, Walter Douglas Hooks of the US Air Force, Bitburg, Germany and Lonnie Gene Hooks of Mullins; a daughter, Mrs Heyward Brown of Cayce; two brothers, A G and Frank Hooks of Nichols; and a sister, Mrs Herbert Tyler of Loris.
