Mittie Atkinson

Marion---Services for Mittie "Mickey" Dickens Atkinson, 65, will be held at 11 am Saturday at Marion United Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 today at Richardson Funeral Home.

Mrs Atkinson died Wednesday, Aug 5 1992. Born in Marion County, she was a daughter of the late Alva Wade and Mable Legette Dickens. She was a former tescher's assistant and a member of Marion United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her husband, John Quincy Atkinson, Sr.; a son, John Atkinson, Jr. of Columbia; a brother, Alva Dickens, Jr of Columbia; sisters, Joan Smith of Garden City and Marian Pittman of Marion; and a granddaughter.
