BETHEA---Claudia M Bethea, nee Spinks, was born in *********(too dark to read) December 18th 1867,
was married to W Ellis Bethea December 18, 1885, and died May 6th 1895.
Sister Bethea was reared under pious influences and early in life connected herself with the Presbyterian church, the church of her family. After her marriage, she transferred her membership to the Methodist Episcopal Church, South, the communion of her husband, and to the time of her death she maintained a consistent membership therein.
Of a cheerful, happy disposition, with four interesting little children, and a devoted husband, there was much to cause Sister Bethea to want to live, but death, heeding not the yearning of human hearts, nor the tears of human affection, claimed her for his own, and after weary months of intense suffering we laid her away to rest until the resurrection morn, confidently believing, and comforted by the thought, that she will have part in the first resurrection.
