Mrs Belle H Bethea
BETHEA---Sister Belle H Bethea, wife of Bro L K Bethea, of Marion County, SC., was born on January 18th, 1863, and died of complication of measles and pneumonia March 24, 1896, and in the thirty-fourth year of her life.
She had lived an upright and consistent Chrisitan life for eighteen years, scattering peace and sunshine all around her. Not demonstrative in making loud professions, but cheerfully doing the will of God. She loved the church, and was a faithful and true friend of the preacher. A devoted mother and ever faithful wife, a kind neighbor, and never did she turn away the poor unblessed. To know her was to love her in life and to mourn her sad death. The best of all is, she was ready. Death had no terrors for her. Among her parting words to her husband were: "You need not hope for my recovery. I regret to leave you and the children, but I must go; I am ready and want to go." At this juncture the spirit was caught up into the paradise of God. We shall see her again, clad in light, and deathless bloom, when all those who now sleep in Jesus shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and shall come forth to immortal life. The Lord grant to the bereaved husband and sorrowing children a happy reunion in heaven.
