MAY BETHEA
May---daughter of E Bethea, died December 20, 1898, in her 11th year.
Though young she had been so instructed as to realize Jesus as her Saviour.
Her sweet spirit made her a favorite and the joy of the home.
It was a custom as family prayers to have a short prayer for each one.
This little one never failed. Her prayers were unusually clear for her years.
Her brother, Arthur, seemed to be a favorite, and in every prayer, she mentioned him.
It was so with peculiar emphasis at the last prayer service the night she was taken ill.
After a short sleep the day she died, she said to her Ma, "I dreamed I died and went
to heaven." In a few hours this was realized. The Lord bless the stricken home and
may the loved ones meet again in heaven. J E B
