The Marion Star, Issue of October 24, 1877
OBITUARY.
Robert T. O. Braddy, son of W. W. and E. A. Braddy, was born April
7th, 1864, and died after a short illness, Sept. 20th, 1877. Though his life was short,
he manifested fine traits of character. In the family circle he was obedient, gentle
and affectionate. In relation to society he was sympathetic and benevolent. In the
discharge of his duties he was sprightly and resolute. He joined the church when he
was eight years old, and sustained that relation thereafter without reproach, to the
day of his death. He was a noble boy and we have hope in his death.
"I know thou hast gone where thy forehead is starred,
With the beauties that dwell in thy soul,
Where the light of thy loveliness cannot be marred,
Nor thy heart be flung back from its goal."
