MARTHA M. CHRISTMAS (Martha Jane Butler)
Funeral services for Mrs. Martha M. Christmas, 65, wife of Arthur
Christmas, of this city, who died Thursday morning at her home here, were
held Friday morning at eleven o'clock at Rose Hill Cemetery. The Rev. W. Roy
Phillips, pastor of the First Methodist Church, of this city, was in charge.
Mrs. Christmas had been in ill health several months before her death.
She is survived by her husband and the following children: Oscar, Dillon,
William, Charley, Henry and Arthur Christmas, all of Marion; Mrs. Mattie
Turner, of Holly Hill; Mrs. Nettie Christmas, Marion; Mrs. Lizzie Sawyer,
Dillon, and Miss Mary Christmas of this city. She is also survived by two
sisters and three brothers.
