Dora Coates

Cheraw---Services for Dora Hargrove Coates, 84, will be held at 2pm Friday at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, with burial in Chatham Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Westside Baptist Church or to Cheraw Rescue Squad.

Mrs Coates, wife of the late Oakley Coates, died Monday, Feb 7 1994. Born in Marion County, she was a daughter of the late Acy and Melinda Herring Hargrove. She retired from Cheraw Yarn Mill and a member of Westside Baptist Church.

Surviving are a son, L C Coates of Cheraw; a brother, A C Hargrove of Bennettsville; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
