Ida Wells EVANS

Mrs Ida Wells Evans, widow of the late Chesley D. Evans, died at her home in Marion Sunday night, March 20, after an illness of several years. Funeral services conducted by her pastor, Dr. Peter Stokes of the First Methodist Church were held at the graveside. She is buried beside her husband and her only daughter, Miss Fannie Evans, who died four years ago.

She is survived by two sons, Leon Evans of New Orleans and Wells Evans of Marion, and two brothers, C. P. Wells of Bennettsville and Claude Wells of Florida.
