Douglas Fairbanks Martin

Douglas Fairbanks Martin, 79, buried in Reedy Creek Cemetery in Rains. Mr. Martin died Tuesday, January 9, 2001. Born October 15, 1921, in Marion Co., He was the son of the late Theo Thomas Martin and the late Susie Ola Martin. Mr. Martin was a retired builder, carpenter and woodfinisher. He built homes for many established families in the Pee Dee area. Mr. Martin was an active member of the Catholic Church of the Infant Jesus in Marion.

Surviving are his son, Douglas Van Martin of Columbia; nieces, Frances Bellamy of Murrells Inlet, Aline Smith Stone of Mullins. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Janie Margaret Coleman Martin in 1997.
