J. Brooks McIntyre
PAWLEYS ISLAND | J. Brooks McIntyre, 57, certified public accountant, died
Thursday, Jan. 2, 2003, at home.
He was born July 15, 1945, in Mullins, a son of the late Johnson Young
McIntyre and Evelyn Collins McIntyre.
He grew up in Mullins and graduated from Francis Marion University. He was
the owner of McIntyre and Associates, CPAs, PA, presently practicing as
McIntyre, Zeigler and Hodges, CPAs, PA.
He was a director of Miss Ruby's School, the Georgetown Sportfishing
Association and Dreamcatchers. He also was founding director of the
Georgetown County Environmental Protection Society and Winyah River Keepers.
He was a communicant of Prince George, Winyah, Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Lee Thompson McIntyre, of Pawleys Island; and
two brothers, Randy S. McIntyre of Wilmington, N.C., and Douglas McIntyre of
Marion.
Visitation will be from 4 to 6 tonight at the residence in Pawleys Retreat.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Prince George, Winyah,
Episcopal Church. The Rev. Paul C. Fuener will officiate. Memorials may be
