W W Whaley.

Marion--W W "Wilkie" Whaley, 78, died Saturday in a Marion hospital.

Born in Centenary, he was a son of the late Manley and Eliza McQueen Whaley. He was a farmer and hog breeder.

Mr Wahley was a Mason, a member of the Wahee Gun Club and the South Carolina Duroc Breeders Association.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs Jessie Dickert Whaley; a son, Wilkie Whaley, Jr; two sisters, Myra Whaley and Virginia Whaley of Centenary; and two grandchildren.

Services will be 3pm Monday at Smith Brothers Funeral Home with burial in Palmer Cemetery.
