WILL OF
ELI BERRY
In The Name. of God Amen I Eli Berry of the State of South carolina and
District of Marion being weak of body but of sound mind and memory calling
to mind the uncertaint of all things and the mortality of my body and know-
ing that it is appointed to all men to die do make and ordain this my last
wile and testament (Viz) In the first plas I recommend my soul to God. that
gave it and my body to entered with with desent Christian bureal. And as
touching such wordly goods as it hath pleased God to blefs me I give and be-
queath to my beloved wife Ann Berry one Hundred acres of land where I now
live beginning on a stake on Henry Berrys line and running the N. E. side
of the road to corner on a pine and then out toward Catfish to corner and
then down the road a sufficient distance to include one Hundred acres by
closing at the beginning corner likewise one mare twelve head of hogs one
cow and yearling with all my household and kitchen furniture of every name
and nature during the term of her natural life and at her demise to be e-
qually divided among my surviving children and it is further my will and de-
sire that all the balance of my property be sold and the proceeds after re-
serving in the hands of my Executer hereafter to be named the sum of fifty
dollars to be paid to my two grandchildren Noah and Sephona Jackson as they
shale severally arrive at the age of twenty one years. to be equally divided
among my children Share and Share alike and I do hereby constitute nominate
and appoint German Berry sole Executor to this my last will and testament
hereby revoking disannulling and disallowing all wills heretofore by me made
