                              WILL OF 

                           JEREMIAH BROWN


In the name of God Amen.

I Jeremiah Brown being in a weak State of body tho of perfect mind & memory
do make & ordain this my Last will & testament, first of all I recommend my
Soul to God that Gave it. & as to what Earthly Goods it has been the will
of God to bestow on me I do distribute in in the following manner, 

                                                                   first of
all I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Mary Brown the full and unin-
terupted Pofsefsion of the Plantation & tract of Land whereon I now live dur-
inf her Life and after her death I give the right & Title of the same to
her children that is my Daughter Ann T Brown Rebecca S Brown Wm. A Brown
John S. Brown & Joseph A Brown. to be equally divided among them & be theirs
forever.  & it is my desire that the tract of Land adjoining below. Commonly
called the John Brown Tract, Containing four Hundred & fifth acres if necefsary
Should be Sold by my Executors for the Purpose of paying my debts, but if not
sold by my exor, I desire it to belong to my Wife & Children in the same man-
ner as I have Given the tract whereon I live. 

                                              - Item 2 I Give unto my beloved
wife my Horses Plantation tools & all necefsary utentials belonging thereto.
for her use & for the use of her Children & at her death to be equally di-
vided amongst them also all my household & Kitchen furniture I Give in like
manner

       Item 3rd. I Give unto my Daughter Ann. T Brown one negroe Girl named
Dinah  I Give & bequeath unto my daughter Rebecca Brown one negroe Girl Named
Layandar to be * to them & their Heirs for  ver the balance of my negroes I
lend unto my beloved wife during her Life for the use of Her self & chil-
dren that is my three sons w^nd at her death to be equally divided among them
that is wm. John & Joseph, to belong to them & their heirs for ever.

4th I give & bequeath unto my son Jeremiah Brown five Dollars having already
Give him his full share of my estate which he has taken Pofsefsion of already.

Lastly I Constitute & appoint my beloved wife & my much respected relation
Joseph A Toley Executors & executrix of this my Last will & Testament in
witnefs Whereof I have set my hand & seal this 3rd day of August in the year
of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred & Twenty Six in the presence of
