WILL OF
THOMAS DEWITT
In the name of God Amen I Thomas Dewitt of Marion District
and State of South Carolina being in a low State of health
but of sound mind and memory thanks be to God for the same
and being sensible of the uncertainty of life and the cer-
tainty of death do make this my last will and testament
in the first place do recommend my soul to God and my body
to be entered in a decent manner at the discretion of my
Executors
Item I gave unto my Son Micajah Dewitt in his
lifetime forty two dollars and one half being that much
over and above his share of my Estate which I also gave him
and that at his death I owed the said micajah nothing It is
therefore my will and desire that the heirs of the said Mi-
cajah Dewitt Decd Shall have no further part or portion of
my Estate
I Gave unto Dolly Dewitt a dun Cow and yearling marked a
hole and a Swallow fork in one Ear and a Swallow fork in the
other
I give unto my Grandchild Micajah Dewitt a Red Pided yearling
I give unto my daughter Sarah Two Shillings and four pence
I give unto my Son Martin Dewitt Twenty one dollars and one
half and one Sorrell mare and one Bed and one Gun
I give unto
my daughter Mary Wiggins One Bed and furniture
Then it is my
will and desire that the residue of my Estate be equally di-
vided between my daughter Mary Wiggins and my Son Martin De-
witt excepting a Cupboard, a Coffee, Mill, and jug or Canis-
ter which I give to my daughter Mary Wiggins
I nominate and
appoint Jefse Wiggins to be Executor to this my last will
and Testament In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand
and Seal this Twenty first day of February in the year of our
Lord One thousand eight hundred and Eleven In the presence of
