WILL OF THOMAS DREW
In the name of God amen. I Thomas Drew of Marion District in the State of
South Carolina being weak in body but of sound mind and memory do make this
my last will & Testament hereby declaring all former wills by me made, null
and void.
First--. It is my will and desire that all my just debts be. paid in the
first place.
Secondly--It is my will and desire that my Executor herein after named do
collect all my Debts due me, by bond, Note or otherwise and that the same
shall be put out at Interest -
Thirdly-- It is my will and desire that my Executor herein after named do pay
over annually to my beloved daughter Peggy Elvis,/daughter of Susy Elvis, of Horry
District the Interest (be the same more or lefs) which may arise from the said
Debts so long as my said daughter Peggy Elvis may live And in case my said
daughter shall die leaving a child or children then it's my will and desire that
my Executor do pay over to her children or child an equal portion of the
principal and Interest which may be due upon my debts when ever __ It is
however my will and desire that my Executor shall not pay over to any one
of /my daughters children the portions to which they will be respectively
intitled until he, she, or they may arrive to the age of twenty one years and
in case my said Daughter shall die leving no ifsue of her body or in case her
ifsue should die under the age of twenty one years & without Lawful ifsue then
it is my will that my Executor do pay over to my heirs _other Brothers &
Sisters which may be then living the principle and Interest which may be then
due in such por- and shares as they be respectively intitiled
I have purchased of Jefse Leggett twenty Bushels of Corn to be paid for next
January-now it is my will that eleven Bushells of corn which have not been
received from said Leggett, be given to my Mother Ann Drew
Lastly--I do hereby nominate and appoint my trusty friend Col. Thomas Godbold
Executor of this my last will and Testament
