WILL OF
MARY FOXWORTH
In the name of God amen I Mary Foxworth of Marion Destrict in the state
of south Carolina being week in body but sound in mind and memory blefsed
be god for his abundant mercyes so graciously bestowed on me and calling
to mind the mortality of this body and that it is appointed for all men
once to die do make ordain and constitute this my last will and testament
but first of all I commit my spirit unto the hands of god who gave it noth-
ing doubting but I shall recieve the same again at the last day and be re-
united in soul and body by the amaising power of almighty God: as for my
body I commit the same to the Earth to be decently Entered Chrstian form
and bureial at the decresion of my Executors here under mentioned and as
for such worldly goods as it hath pleased god to endow me with I do hereby
despose of in manner and form following that is to say after paying and
satesfying all my just Debts and funaral Charges which I leave to the Descre-
sion and integrety of my Executors and as it was the Desire of Jobe Foxworth
se., my husband that this negroPride my servant should have his freedom
the remaider of his live after my Death and as the said negro Pride has been
a very obedient servant to me and for the Desiar and request of the said
Jobe Foxworth and the faithfulness and obedience of the said negro Pride
I do give the said negro Pride his freedom after my Death and that the said
negro Pride shall not beome a charge to the publick I do give unto the said
negro Pride one hundred dollars at my Death and I do hereby nominate con-
stitute and ordain or appoint my son Jobe Foxworth and Abner Legett to be
my true and lawfull Executors to this my last will and testament ratifying
and confering and no other to be my last will or testament hereby Designing
revoking and disanuling all orther wills or testaments what so ever in tes-
temony here of the aforesaid Mary Foxworth have here unto set my hand and
seal this the fifteenth of June one thousand Eight hundred and sixteen
