                               WILL OF

                            ROBERT HODGES

In the name of God amen I Robert Hodge of the District of
Marion being weak in body but of found and disposing mind
& memory do make & ordain this my last will and Testament.

First I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife all
the real & personal Estate which she owned pofsefsed or was
                  previous to
entitled to on the day/of our marriage which is in full of
any part or portion of my real & personal/ except one thou-
sand Dollars to be made & raised out of my Estate & to be
paid to her by my Executors within Eighteen months after
my death & which devise & bequest is made to her upon the
Condition of her receiving such portion in lieu of all Claim
upon my Estate real or personal & upon no other Terms. & in
Case my said which wife should at any time hereafter Claim de-
mand or fue for any portion of my Estate other than what is
above given to her then it is my will & desire that, that
property above mentioned, given to my wife be divided fairly
& equally among my children

                            Item-I wish my Estate Kept use
& improved together until all my just debts are paid off and
discharged After which it is my will & desire that my Estate
Real & personal be fairly, justly, & equally divided among
my Children share & share alike-
Lastly I do nominate, constitute & appoint my fons / famuel,
Hugh & John J. Hodges Executors of this my last will & testa-
ment hereby revoking all wills by me heretofore made.

     In Witnefs whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & feal
     this Ninth day of June 1816-NB. The word "previous to"
     interlined before signed- "Henry" interlined before signed
