WILL OF CATHERINE McCORMAC, 1863

In the name of God Amen I Catherine McCormac of the State of South Carolina
and Marion District being of sound mind and memory blessed be God for the
same, do this the Twentieth day of October in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and sixty three Publish and declare this my last will
and testament in form and manor following Viz
First I will and bequeath all my land except ninety three acres on which I
now live to my three sons viz Daniel W McCormac Joseph A McCormac John C
McCormac
Secondly The above Ninety three acres excepted I will and bequeath to the
children of my son James A. McCormac on which they are now living.
Thirdly I will and bequeath my negro woman Caroline to my son Daniel W.
McCormac.
Fourthly I will and bequeath my negro boy Claton to my son Joseph A McCormac.
Fifthly I will and bequeath my negro boy Barna to my son John C McCormac.
Sixth All the balance of my property to be sold and one half of the proceeds
to be equally divided between my three sons viz Daniel Joseph and John.
Seventh The other half except one hundred dollars I bequeath to Flora
Catharine McKellar to be equally divided between the children of my son James
A McCormac and my daughter Manila McEachern.
And lastly I hereby constitute and appoint my worthy friends viz Alaxander
Blue and John McArthur Executors to this my last will and testament In
witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and
year above written signed sealed and published in presence of
James Campbell
