WILL OF CELIA McPHERSION
In the name of God amen, I Celia McPhersion of the State of South Carolina and
district of Marion, being sick and weak of Body but of sound and disposing mind and memory
thanks to Almighty God for the same, and remembering that it is appointed for all men once to die,
do make and ordain this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following.
First, I Recommend my soul to God who gave it and my Body to be buried in a christian manner,
as for my wordly goods and Chattles I allow them to be disposed of in the following manner:
Item; I leave and bequeath unto Mary McPhersion Finklea one negro Girl named
Cilvey one rideing Chair and Harnefs one cow and calf and one two year old heiffer which
she has made choise of, to her and heirs/afsigns forever
Item, I allow my executer to sel one cow and calf and the money ariseing from said sale to be paid
to stephen wesley Haines to him his heirs and afsigns forever
Item, I leave and bequeath the balance of my property consisting of one Bay horse stock of cattle,
and all other goods and Chattles of whatsoever name or discription, unto my Brother James
McPherson to him his heirs and afsigns forever,
Lastly, I constitute and appoint my Brother James McPhersion, Executer of this my
Last will and Testament, In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 16th day of July - 1833
