WILL OF
NEAL McQUEEN
In the name of God Amen, I Neal McQueen of South Carolina
Marion District being in Common health of Body and perfect mind and memory
Thanks be given unto god, Calling unto mind the mortality of my Body and
knowing that it is appointed for all men once to Die do make and ordain this
my Last will and Testament; That is to Say principally and first of all, I
give and Recommend to the Earth to be Buried in Decent Christian burial at
the Discretion of my Executor nothing dauding but at the general
Resurrection, I Shall Receive the Same again by the almighty power of God,
and as tuching Such worldly Estate Wherewith it hath pleased God to blefs me
in this Life I give and Dispose of the Same in the following manner and form
first of all - I Constitute and I appoint my Son Donald McQueen my Executor
to this my Last will and Testament--
I Bequeat and give to my beloved wife Nancy McQueen all that
plantation and tract of Land where I now Live all my Stock of Cattle Sheep
Hoges and my horse all my plantation & farming tools household and kitcheng
furniture and my two negroes Ned and fillis Corn pees potates Baccon Beeff
all the income and profits that arises from the Said property her Life time
Except three Cows and two year old hiafer and ten head of Sheep I bequeath to
my Daughter Margarate and there increas after my Death I bequeath and to my
Daughters Catherin McLoed Mary Earslling & Jean M Duffee the negro
Ned after the/deathof my beloved to be Equally Devided/betweenthem
three and there Lawful Issues at there own Discretion also twenty Dollars my
Executor is to pay to Each when Collected from Margarate,
I bequeat and give to my Daughter margarate my negroe fillis/and her increas at
the Death of my beloved wife; which She is to pay to my Executor Sixty Dollars
if the Said negroe fillis Lives and if She Dies before She takes pofsesions of
the negroe I order my Executor not to Collect from margarate the Sixty and if
the Sixty Dollars not Collectd my Executor is not to pay the other hiers they
twenty Dollars Each C the Real meaning of this that
Catherine M L oed mary Earflling & Jean Mc Duffee is to have no
other part but the negroe boy if the negroe Girls Dies All I bequeath to my
beloved to Remain with her During her Lifetime and at/herDeath
I bequeath to my Son Donald all the property I bequeath to my wife Except the
two negroes and the threefour head of Cattle and
ten head of Sheep one feather Bed and furniture I give to my bloved wife to
Dispofe at her own Discretion and I do hereby utterly Disallow revoke and
Disannual all and Every other former testaments wills Legacies bequests and
Executors By me in any ways before named willed and bequeathed ratifying and
Confirming this and no other to be my Last will and testaments in Witnefs
Whereof I have hereunto Set my hand and Seal this 19th day of January 1822 --
