Marion District         )   Meggs of the State and District afforesaid do

make and Constitute this my Last will and Testament

Item 1    I Resign my Soul to God who gave it
      nd
Item 2 , I will and Bequeathe to my son William Meggs all the Tract of Land 

on which he lives Containing Eighty Seven & ½  Acres part Lying in Marlboro

and Part in Marion Also one half of my Stock of Cattle one Horse and Cart

and one Shot Gun

Item 4 -  I give and Bequeat unto my Daughter Henrietta Meggs The Tract of

Land where I now live Containing Twenty Five Acres More or lefs also one

half of my stock of cattle all my stock of Hogs also all my Kitchen and House-

hold Furniture Also I give her all the corn Fodder Peas and all other Pro-

visions that I may leave with all my Plantation Tools

Item 5 .  I give and Bequeath unto the four Children of my Daugter Francis

Pepins Two Dollars

Item 6--  it is my will that my Son William Meggs and my Daughter Henrietta

meggs Take Care of and Provide for my wife Nancy ----

Item 7 , I do hereby Name and appoint My son Wm, Meggs My Exutor to this my

last will and Testament this 14th day of December in the year of our Lord One
