This is the will of Ann (Batchelor) Munnerlyn, the widow of Capt. Benjamin Munnerlyn.
I hand copied this will from Film No. 5337, Part 6, LDS Library,
titled COPIES FROM S.C. VITAL RECORDS, 1770 -1870.
WILL OF ANN MUNNERLYN
South Carolina
Marion District
In the name of God, Amen. I Ann Munnerlyn of the
District and State aforesaid do make this my last will and testament. being of sound
disposing mind and memory. I wish my body decently buried after death; and my soul I
recommend to the guardian and merciful care of my Creator. My worldly goods I dispose
of in the manner following. I give to Abram G. Davis and David Gibson the money arising
from the debts due me by note for nine-hundred dollars due the 1st day of January 1847
and interest from the first of January last and one note for two hundred and fifty
dollars due as above and drawing interest as above To hold in trust for the benefit of
my two grandchildren, Eliza Richardson and David Wilson Richardson (that is to say)
the said two grandchildren Eliza and David to receive the interest annually after
my death that may arise from the money above mentioned and all other money that
I may die possessed of during their natural lives; and at their death it is my
will wish and (unreadable word) that the money above mentioned be equally divided
among their lawful children; and I do hereby give and bequeath my said
granddaughter Eliza Richardson all my household furniture. And I do hereby nominate,
constitute and appoint my friends the said Abram G. Davis and David Gibson executors
of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto affixed my
hand and seal this fifteenth day of February, eighteen hundred and forty-four and
sixty-eight of American Independence.
