WILL OF JOSEPH PERRIT
In the name of God amen. I Joseph Perrit of the district of Marion being
verry sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and Memory thanks be
given to God caling unto Mind the Mortality of my body and knowing that
it is appointed for all men once to die do mak and ordain this my last
Will and testament that is to say Principally and first of all I give and
Recommend my soul into the hands of almighty God that gave it and my
body I Recommend to the earth to be buried in descent christian burial at
the discretion of Executors and as toutching sutch wordley estate wherewith
it hath pleased God to blefs me with in this life I give devise and dispose
of the same in the following manner and form
First I give and bequeath to my son John Perrit I give my land and
plantations containing one hundred and thirty six acres of land
Also I give unto my son Jefse Perrit the half of all the property that I am
now pofsed with
Also I give to my son William Perrit the one half of all the Remaining
part of Perrishable property which is to be Equally divid between my to
sons Jefse Perrit and William Perrit with all my Notes and [aspts?] my
debts to be paid out of perifable propety
Also I give to William daniel two dollars
also I to Gedian Powers two dollars to be paid by my Executors which I
now ordain Jeefse Perrit and John Perrit to this my last will and
testament
In witnefs where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 12th day
of February one thousand Eight hundred and forty one and in the sixty
fifth year of American Independancy
