WILL OF

WILLIAM SMITH

State of South Carolina
Marion District

In the name of God Amen.  I William Smith of the State and District aforesaid being 

Advanced in years and Knowing the frailty of human nature and uncertainty of it but

being of perfect Sound Memory do hereby declare this my last will and Testament and

first of all I give my soul into the hands of the Almighty God that gave it me and my

body I recommend to the Earth to be buried at the discrefsion of my heirs & Executors

and my worldly Estate to be disposed off in following manner. & form following That

 is to say After my death I give unto my son William Smith all my lands Excepting

One hundred acres whereon I now live I leve it to the benefit and behofe of three

Daughters or either Viz Molly Lettue & Darkis to be laid out joining the plantation

Where they see fit and after their death or marriage I give the aforesaid Tract of One

Hundred acres to my son William Smith and his heirs forever Now my will & desire

 is that all the goods & chattels which I have given or ever shall give during my life to

 my children or Grand Children to be theirs forever and whatever I shall have at my

death to be equally divided amongst my Eight children Viz Joice, Betsey, Anne, Molly,

 Barbury, Littes, William, & Darkis, at the descretion of my Executors who are my son

William Smith and Daniel Stone who I appoint to be my whole and sole Executors of

My last will and testament & I do hereby declare Ralfy and Confirm this and no other

to be my last will and Testament  In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and

Seal this 9th day of March in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred & Seven
