WILL OF
CELIA STACKHOUSE
In the name of God Amen
I Celia Stackhouse of the state of South Carolina and District
of Marion being admonished by age and infirmity that my earthly pilgrimage
must soon close and being of sound mind and memory and being desireous of
disposing of such earthly substance as it hath pleased God to pofsefs me with
do make, Constitute, and ordain this my last will and Testament on this the
Twenty eighth day of November in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hun-
dred and Fifty in the former and manner following Viz First my will is that
my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of such monies as I may die
pofsefsed of and in case I may die pofsefsed of none to be paid out of my
personal estate
Secondly I give and bequeath to my son Isaac Stackhouse my entire real
estate all my lands and Tenaments which I am lawfully possefsed of for him
to possefs absolutly himself his heirs and assigns forever -- I also give
and bequeath to my son Isaac Stackhouse my negro woman Mary and negro boy Dick
Thirdly I give and bequeath to my Daughter Nancy Gaddy my negro woman
Rena any negro girl Ann to her and to her heirs --
Fourthly I give and beqeath to my grand children Lysias Stackhuse
Sealey Stackhouse and Mary Ann Bethea wife of Evander R Bethea my negro wo-
man Nima and negro man Peter to be equally divided between them
Fifthly I give and bequeath to my son Isaac Stackhouse my daughter
Nancy Gaddy wife of Allen Gaddy my grand children Lysias Stackhouse Sealey
Stackhouse and Mary Ann Bethea wife of Evander R Bethea all my stock of all
Kinds and descriptions all my farming tools all my household and Kitchen fur-
niture all my monies and my credits and all my personal estate of Whatever
name or Kind not heretofore given and bequeathed to be divided in three equal
parts one part or one third I give and bequeath to my son Isaac Stackhouse one
part or one third to my daughter Nancy Gaddy and the remaining part or one
third to Lysias Stackhouse Wesley Stackhouse and Mary Ann Bethea children of
my deceased son Herod Stackhouse to be equally divided between them
And lastly I constitute my son Isaac Stackhouse and my grandson Wesley
Stackhouse my executors to this my last Will and Testament. In testimony
of which I do here unto set my hand and Seal on the day in the year first
