ELIZABETH STEPHENSON
State of South Carolina ) In the name of God Amen

I Elizabeth Stephenson of the Destrict and State aforesaid at this time
weak and frail in body but pofsefsing a sound and disposeing mind and
memory do make and constitue this my last will and Testament in manner
and form following (To wit). First it is my will desire that after my
decease that my corps be entered by the side of my first Husband Robert
lison in a decent and christian like manner and all my just debts be
paid Item I Give and bequeath to my beloved Daughter Mary Smith a negro
woman named Mary and her child. and the increase of the Said negro woman
Mary for the term of her natural and no longer and after her death it is
my will and desire that the said negro woman and increase desend to the
lawful ifsue of her body begotten & to be begotten by he presant Husband
Samuel Smith or any other Husband whom she may be united to not to be
subject to any debt or contract of the said Samuel or any other but the
said negro Mary with her increase to remain in the hands of my Executor
who will be hereafter named subject to his controls and management the use
or proffets vesting in my Daughter Mary for life to the ifsue of My Daugh-
ter Mary as above stated in fee-- It is further my will and desire that
if my said - Daughter Mary Should die leaving no lawful ifsue in that case
the said negro woman and he increase revert and go to my beloved Daughter
Eliza Frazer and her ifsue subject to the same conditions and restrictions
as above stated -

Thirdly I will and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Elizabeth Smith a feather
bed and furnature - also to my Grand Daughter Caroline Smith I will and
bequeath a feather bed and furnature - each in fee simple - - Again it is
my will and desire that that the remaining part of my goods and chattles be
be sold at Auction the amount of such sale be - applied to the payment of
my debts as before stated the balance if any there be be equally divided
between my two Daughters - --

L Lastly. I constitute and appoint my Brother Robert Nettles Executor
to this my last will and Testament revoking and making void all other
will and Testaments by declareing and acknowledging this and only this to
be my last will and Testament
In witnefs whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the thirty
first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred
and twenty five- and in the 50th year of the Independance--
