STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA MARLBOROUGH COUNTY
KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE Presents that I Robert Gariway of the State aforesaid Liberty County in Consideration of the Sum of fourteen pounds Sterling to me paid by Darby Smithhart of the State aforesaid of Marlborough County have granted Bargained Sold and Released and by these presents do Grant Bargain Sell and Release unto the Said Darby Smithhart a Tract of Land in the State and County aforesaid Containing of Two hundred Acres the Same being a Tract of Land granted to Simon Parker by Thomas Perkins Governor &c the fourth day of august 1789 and Lying on the head of bull branch and hath Such Shape and form as a plat to Said grant annexed Doth Represent and was Deeded from Simon Parker to Joseph Cosnaham? the 16th of January 1792 then convey by a Deed from Said Coneaham? To William Goodwin the Second day of October 1793 then Conveyed a deed from Said Goodwin to Robert garaway the 23rd day of December 1795 Now Conveyed From Said Garaway to Darby Smithhart as this 2nd Day of February 1797 To have and to Hold all and Singular the premises Before mentioned together with all and Singular the Rites members Hereditaments and Appurtinances unto the Said primeses Belonging or any wise Incident or Appurtaining unto the said Darby Smithhart his heirs and Afsigns forever and the Said Robert Garaway __ hereby Bind my Self my heirs Executors Administrators to Warrant and Defend all and Singular the Land premises unto the Said Darby Smithhart his heirs and afsigns forever Against my Self my heirs and Afsigns and Against every Other person whomsoever Lawfully Claiming the Same or my Part thereof Witness my hand and Seal this 2nd day of February 1797 and in the Twenty first Year of the American Independence
