Francis Miles Deed to John Brown for sale of slave 1806

STATE S CAROLINA )
MARLBOROUGH DISTRICT) Know all men by these presents that I Francis Miles of
the State and District aforesaid have for and in Consideration of the Sum of
five hundred Dollars to me in hand paid by John Brown of the State and
District aforesaid have bargained Sold and delivered unto him the said John
Brown a Negro boy/Aaron/ about Sixteen years old which Negroe boys I the
aforesaid Francis Miles do Warrant and forever defend to him the said John
Brown his heirs Executors Administrators and afsigns from me my heirs
Executors Administrators afsigns the afoursaid Negroe boy free from any
lawful Claim or Claims of any person or persons Whatever together until his
being a (words between lines "he _tty") Sound Negroe boy. Witness my hand
and Seal this 22 January 1806

William Whitefield one of the Justices of the Quorum for Said District who
being duly Sworn on the holy Evangelist of Almighty God and Saith that he
saw Francis Miles Sign Seal & deliver the within Instrument of Writing as
his act and Deed and that he saw Thomas Conn Subscribe his name as another
Witness at the same time
