Drury Robertson deed to Thomas Stubbs Marlborough District, SC 1808 Conveyance Book G-1 pages 235, 236 THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA Know all men by these presents that I Drury Robertson of Marlborough District in the State aforesaid in Consideration of one hundred Dollars to me paid by Thomas Stubbs of the District of Marlborough in the State aforesaid have granted bargained Sold and released and by these presents do grant bargain Sell and release unto the said Thomas Stubbs All that piece parcel and Tract of Land containing One hundred acres lying and being in the District and State aforesaid and on the South Side of the Beaver dam branch beginning at a Stake 3x on Wm Stubbs line at John Magees corner thence running North Eleven degrees west on Magees line thirty four Chains to Beaver dam branch thence up the said branch to a Small Bum in branch marked 3x Thence South East Eleven degrees forty four chain to Stake 3x on William Stubbs line thence down the said line to the beginning being laid of by William Feagin Deputy Surveyor for One hundred acres and in part of a Tract of Land origninally granted to Pob? George Hicks by the Honorable Wm Bull Esqr Lecat Governor &c on the tenth day of May Anno Domini One thousand Seven hundred & twenty three TOGETHER with all and Singular the rights members heretimanets and appurentances to the said premises belonging or in any wise incident or appertaining To have and to hold all and Singular the premises before mentioned unto the said Thomas Stubbs his heirs and afsigns forever and I do hereby bind myself my heirs Executors & Administrators to warrant and forever defend all and Singular the said premises unto the said Thomas Stubbs his heirs and Afsigns against myself and my heirs and against every person whomsoever lawfully claiming or to claim the same or any part thereof WITNESS my hand and Seal this thirteenth day of December in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight hundred and six of American Independence the thirty first Signed Sealed & Delivered in the presence of James Webster D Robertson (Seal) William (his x mark) Smith Jr. STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA) MARLBOROUGH DISTRICT ) Personally appeared before me William Pledger one of the Justices of the Quorum for said District James Webster who being duly Sworn that he was present and did See the within named Drury Robertson sign Seal and as his act and deed deliver the within instrument of Writing for the use and purposes therein and that Himself and William Smith Jr. in the presence of each other Sworn to and afsign before me this 23rd day of January 1807} James Webster Wm Pledger J.Q. THE STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA~~~~I William Pledger one of the Justices of the Quorum do hereby certify unto all whom it may concern that Mary Robertson the wife of the within named Drury Robertson did this day appear before me and upon being privately and Separately examined by me, did declare that she does freely voluntarily and without any compulsion dread or fear of any unto the within named Thomas Stubbs his heirs 7 afsigns all her interest and Estate and also all her right & claim of Dower of in, or, to all and Singular the premises within mentioned & Released~~~~~~~~~~~~Given under my hand and Seal this 20 day of June Anno Domini 1807 (seal) Wm Pleadger (J.Q.)
